I have a 1989 johnson 110 and I want to add a Tach to my instruments. I thought this motor was wired for a tachometer already, but after looking at the wiring diagram from OMC it does not appear to be. Do any of you guys know if the factory harness includes a tach lead? Is it difficult to add one if it does not? Thanks a lot!

Look for a socket on the front of the remote. This would be for a tach harness which would have all the leads you need. If no socket look for a gray wire in the harness that doesn't go anywhere.

Thanks! I do have a three pronged plug on the remote, and I was wondering if that was it. I appreciate the help!
