Adding an axel ??

I have a 8500 lb dual axel A Frame trailer and am currently storing a 30', 10k boat on it and it seems to hold it OK---my question is---can I add a third axel and how do I make it fit ??? The axels seem to be the "trailer house" style and I have found a similar axel and it's too wide---can these be cut down and rewelded or do I need to keep looking for the correct width ????

If it has mobile home style axles it should be a 10k to 14k trailer.... My 30' 4 axle utility with dexter dayton axles is a 24,000 lb capacity trailer.
As for adding an axle.... those that are qualified to do this don't need to ask how.
