adding deck drains

has anyone ever added deck drains in the cokpit ? my boat has drains at the transom but I would also like 2 in the cockpit area to make it self bail faster. I have a 24 foot Grady White.

Gator, I've not done it yet but I'm getting to it. I'm working on a Ski Barge that had self bailing through the transom. I'm decking and closing in the rear so now I'll have to put in self bailers in the side.

let me know how it goes. my boat has a liner so you have 2 walls to go through. I also need to make it smooth on the inside so the water will flow.
