Adding "drainback" system to carbs?

I have a 89 115 Yamaha outboard. I have torn down, soaked, neutralized, sprayed out with air and re-assembeled the carbs 8 times in 5 years. I've bought kits and replaced jets, needles etc about 50% of those times. I'm sure you're all thinking that I must not be doing it correct, but it does fix my problems-every time. It seems that If I don't use the boat for over 10 or so days, I start having fuel restriction problems. I have two in-line filters, replaced all fuel lines, new tank, I've been running stabil additive all the time now and not just for storage. Now I'm wondering about removing the carb bowl drain plugs and replacing them with hose barbs that tie togther and have a shutoff so I can drain the gas from carbs easily after I use it. Crazy? bad idea?

I recently read that maybe I shouldn't use stabil all the time, just for storage? I was also considering buying new carbs to rule out partially blocked passages that become fully blocked more easily? I'm still using oil injection system because I figured adding oil to the carbs would only make things worse, agree?

I read a great quote on here once: "It doesn't matter how many times you've fixed it if it still doesn't work"

Thanks

Already got a new tank, and I have two inline filters which would hopefully catch "junk in the tank" Maybe water is getting in the tank, I'll double check the seals on the tank.
