Adding length to bimini frame

I purchased 18 ft. bay boat with aftermarket bimini frame that is to short in height for the boat. I end up stooped over to operate the boat under the top. Does anyone know where I can purchase tubing or how to best lengthen the tubing from the boat fastener to the top. I know I will need to cut the tubing, but is there a coupling or insert or weld I should use. Width should not matter and straps to secure can be purchased. Any help appreciated.

Should? Could use matching tubing to prefered length and a wooden dowel matched to inside diameter and inserted 4"+- above and below joint.. S/S screw on each side of joint.

Hello Dennis..welcome to iBoats m8..

There are "couplings" you can buy that normally would rivet/setscrew and sleeve your awning bow extensions . You just have to drill and riv. OR drill and tap for your set screws. ( or drill through and bolt it ).
