Hey guy`s I need some help. I have a 10ft livingston fiberglass boat I use for the small lakes. I need to weight the front down. With the weight in the rear 8hp motor, gas can, elecric trolling motor and a battery plus myself it sit`s riding a wheelie. If I give it any throttle it`s real high. Any suggestions on what to do would be appreciated.

Yea it sounds like you can't afford to add any weight, just redistribute, at least anchor and battery up front.

You can add an ice chest full of beer in the bow....and you call yourself a fisherman.

I use to fish out of a 12fter. with a 7.5hp. on it if I had someone in the front was fine if not I would have the anchor in the very front and some rocks:eek: hey it worked for me really.:)

Battery & gas can weigh how much? Now double that, that would be the effect on balance when you move them. Since it's not just adding weight to the bow, but also removing it from the stern. Twice the effect with no added weight or load.

Thanks for the replies. I`ve thought about moving gas can and the battery to the front but thought you guy`s might have another option. If I added an ice chest I would sink the boat I `d have to fill it up. Does anyone know what gauge wire is safe to run and splice in to make it about 10ft.
