Whats a good proven watertight adhesive for gluing in the big rubber seal around a 290 transom plate and also for the shift cable tube and power trim threads?
I used 3M weather stripping adhesive to hold the first one in, only at the seam on top. I used 4200 to hold the second one in. Then again, I didnt want water in my current boat so I 4200'ed every thing that went thru the transom that may have to come apart, and 5200'ed everything that shouldnt come apart.
