Adivce on buying 1993 90hp merc. pros and cons?

I am thinking of buying a 93 90hp merc with 100 orig. hrs on the motor any input would help. I have never owned a merc. only omc. Any replys would be a great help.
I forgot to mention engine has been off boat for 10-12 yrs started occasionally $1750
