All,

I have read alot on here about adjusting the carbs, idle, etc. And to do it in gear, etc. My question is, do you all do this while on the water? Or at home hooked up to the muffs? From what I can tell, being on the water changes the dynamics of the resistance vs. the muffs. Plus, I have always heard that you should not run at WOT on muffs?

Next question is, if on the water, what do you do when you drop your wrench:(

The only thing that gets done on the water is the final idle adjustment with the boat tied to the dock and the engine at idle in forward gear. Everything else can be done at home on the muffs.

I anchored mine on shore in shallow water last year and made adjustments standing in water.
