I am trying to adjust my trim limit as I believe the up trim is going too far. I downloaded the manual that someone suggested on this site but I can't get it to work. I have a couple of questions.

1. I have an Alpha 1 Gen 2 leg and would like to know how many inches sould the up limit be set at?

2. What is the procedure to follow? The manual talks about putting the trim in manual and the turning the limit sensor as some is triming with the switch to approx 22". I tried this however, I can't find a manual switch on mine.

Thanks

Re: Adjusting Trim Limits

Its just the up and down button you would use when driveing the boat and NOT the trailer button

The limit switch will stop drive when you are useing the UP button and if its to high Or low you have to move the limit switch as it says in the manual

The trim limit is not there to stop your drive at the "Sweet Spot" when running. That is done by feel, experience, and watching the tach and speed.
The trim limit is there to prevent you from trimming the drive too high and causing damage to the drive train at high rpm by trimming too high.
Depending on your boat loading and weight distribution you will have to trim the boat drifferently many times. It's a dynamic adjustment. That is why there is a button there so you can change it. ........... But not too far! ! ! !

Re: Adjusting Trim Limits

Sorry I wasn't more clear. I know how to trim the boat it is that someone told me that my up limit was set too high. I tried to follow the manual instructions but I must be doing something wrong. I start with it full down and then turn the limit swith clockwise to the stops. You are then supposed to trim up until the arms are 22" long. The problem is that when I tighten the screws again and try it it won't stop there. Any ideas?

Don't loosen the screws more than enough to move the sender. Yea, they can be a pain to adjust at times.
