adjusting trim

cant remember which way to adjust trim with a heavily loaded boat for it to plane, i know if it porpoises to drop the motor in towards the boat, but csnt remember the setting for a load. and yes i did a search on it...

If its too much load it won't plane out.................keep the weight to the front and try................

Try 2-3 hole out from transom, but if heavily loaded will have my doubts, throw what's not esential :D

well, its a 12 footer with an 18 horse. with me its great, put my girlfriend or my friend in it as well as me and i cant seem to get it on plane. looking at a bigger motor, but funds are lacking for that right now

I have a 12'5 footer with a Tootsie 18 horse and with 3 adult mates planes perfectly at wot without tabs or doel fins attached, probably you have a underinflated sib & keel, if so, pump more air into all chambers evenly, try cruising with driver moving towards middle with extended arm to reach for the tiller and 2 other mates towards bow, adjust trim 2-3 holes back from transom, full throttle and see what happens, are you having water splashes issues at tail & back of transom ? Have you changed factory prop ?

havent tried moving her to the bow, ill gived it a shot next time we go out. i believe the prop is stock
