Advice for a day on the water?

Hello!

Now that my boat is in proper functioning order, its dependable and I'm comfortable (ish) operating it, I'm finding myself using it much more frequently either for a weekday night cruise or a long day out on the water. We have a few awesome sandbars that are a ~20 minute cruise out from our marina and a great place to spend a long hot afternoon on. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice of things to pack for a long day or afternoon out anchored on the sand bar. Food? toys? things I haven't thought about? Things to watch out for?

Thanks! I learned the hard way last year that I need a stern anchor, but I've got that covered now!

I would think that some type of weather radio would be important depending on where you are boating... Make certain you take plenty of water to stay hydrated as well...

Yea, proficient anchoring is a good thing. The first time I anchored my 33 footer the anchor dragged and hooked onto the chain of someone else's anchor . . . not a pretty site . . . we looked like a bunch of newbies :(

A bathroom for the ladies. Without that you won't stay long.

Ever wonder why the women wade so much into the water?

A bunch of great food! Don't know one human who doesn't like that.

Early May and late September are some of our best days on the water. Not conducive to wading then.
