Just purchased 2008 2stroke 50hp yamaha for 1648 allweld semiv alum boat with livewell has 3 seats with added alum floor, have no idea of weight. Engine had no prop and need help where to start. Load a little more important than speed. Have looked for oem to no success, maybe 10 1/2 by 13 0r 14. SS for sure.

I would put a tach on the boat and look for a prop shop that will let you try a couple of props if you will buy a new ss when you know what one. Most areas have a shop like that.

If your getting this from a dealer I would think they would allow you to try props for the right one.
Assuming your boat is 600-700 lbs start with a 13" prop.
Be sure the motor is setup right with the antivent plate(just above the prop) even with the bottom or slightly above.
