I am replacing my old boat and have an opportunity to pick up an 08 Lund 1625 sport classic with 5 hours on the entire rig.
50 hp Merc. 4 stroke, mooring cover, trolling motor and helm enclosure. I do not like the portable fuel tanks but other than that, the boat should work for my needs. My only concern is the size for two guys and a dog for fishing. It is rare that I have more than that. I hear all sorts of junk on the net about boats and need unbiased information about the quality of this rig, the plus and the minus and other recommendations. I am not brand loyal but will stay with a high quality boat/motor.

Thanks;

Re: Advice on 1625 sport classic

I've always liked Lund boats, and a 16' should be good for two guys and a dog (we used to fish 3 guys in a 14' rowboat).

Big thing with used boats is condition (even over brand). With only 5 hours on it, that boat should be close to showroom condition (I would hope). What kinda' shape is it in?
