I restoring an old aluminum Aerocraft. I can’t get the steering block off so I can install in new dashboard. See picture. How do you remove pin.

Welcome aboard.

You're working on the wrong end. Take off the steering wheel and the steering shaft with the drum should slip right out of the bezel. That's how I pulled mine.

I got the wheel off but there is a piece off trim under it that has a marking of key. But I don’t see a key to remove. See picture.

Take the bezel off the shaft.

It may take some persuasion, so put the nut back on to protect the threads and knock the shaft through the bezel. Some penetrating oil may help.

It's been a while, but I think mine has a keyed and tapered shaft for the steering wheel. The KEY on the bezel may be for centering the wheel when installing. I don't have KEY on my bezel.

Forgot - If it wasn't stuck the bezel will pull off. Mine did.
