just got my boat going after sitting in the water all winter.. no temp problems. the more i'm reading the forum it sounds like i should clean my risers etc.. with acid. is that a yearly thing i should do? would you build up that much corosion in 1 year or more? i would rather maintain it then have a mess in the middle of july..lol

Re: after the winter.....

It really depends how old they are and if you boat in fresh or salt water and how much muck you have in them.Cleaning cant hurt unless they are old and almost ready for replacement anyway.Yearly is surely not necessary.I boat in salt water and make sure that after each trip I flush my motors with fresh water. That is usually enough.Charlie
