'70 Mercury 1150 inline 6, sn: 2840981
One of the local fishing tournaments rule is a functioning kill switch. My boat does not have one. Also the ignition has been moved from the control box to the dash. I guess the old switch broke or something. it was that way when I got it.
Anyway, would wiring in an aftermarket ignition kill switch work this way?
Then I need a magneto type kill switch instead of an ignition type, right?

ignition type normally closed with lanyard in place
magneto type normally open with lanyard in place
