I am currently experiencing trim problems with my latest project (150 mariner on an 18 ft Charger bass boat)and I am considering going to the aftermarket considering the high prices of factory trim system. I have seen a unit that looks to be a combination jack plate and Hydraulic power trim in one for about half what a factory trim unit costs plus you get a jack plate.
I am hoping to hear from folks who have used this setup and how they like it.

Whats wrong with the unit you got? Need just a trim motor? There are aftermarket motors at half of what the factory wants.

Yep the CNC PT 130 is the finest of there in my opinion. Bought one about 2 years ago for my bass boat that I sold because the mariner I had was one of those tower of power inline 6 cyl and the remote pump assembly was just junk to say it nicely. So I bought the cnc, and man was I impressed. One great unit and looked as good as it worked. !! Good luck!!!

----------------------------------------------
1998 Promaster 19 Foot Center Console Bay Boat
BOAT = Bust Out Another Thousand
Reeltime123@cox.net
Promaster Website at:
http://community.webshots.com/user/reeltime123

I added a CMC35 for tilt and trim to a 25 hp motor. The CMC unit exceeded my expectations. Due to its set-back design, I was also able to to raise the motor a couple of inches and gain shallow water running. RichG

I do not think the CMC PT-130 is big emough for the 150 in question, even though it is a fine product.
