air and engine temp sensor ficht

Hi...
I have a evinrude late 2000 90hp ficht , i am trying to clear some fault codes i have air temp and enigne temp faults both showing and both sensors are reading about 20K ohms , i only have a clymer manual and it says they should be more like 9000- 11000 ohms , is this correct i dont trust the clymer thats all and it seems funny to have two sensors bust at the same time.

Hi , its a motor i am selling so did not want to have to buy it really , i see another post has mentioned 9000 -11000 ohm range also just seems funny for both sensors to read 20000 .
