Air filled engine brackets?

Ok, this may sound crazy but I have to ask. Maybe its been addressed but I'm thinking of doing this and if it fails then I cut a hole in the top like most seem to have. An air valve to pressurize the bracket for added buoyancy? Increase or decrease the buoyancy as you like?:facepalm::cold::rolleyes::lol:

All you will do is possibly blow out the bracket. It takes volume, not pressure.

Yup..GA.B set you straight :)

It would be cool if we could strap on some dive air tanks to lift our boats out of the water..but no way jose. Now..filling your stringer cavities with Helium would get you somewhat in the realm of what your thinking.

Never hurts to ask though :)
