Hello,
I was just looking at my 1988 2bl MerCarb and found a brass 90 degree fitting with a 2 ft hose attached to it (on the back of the air horn) that was just laying in the bilge area un attached to anything. Where is this supposed to go? Three manuals yet I can't figure it out there are no connections for it on the fuel pump bye the way.

I would guess it's a clear hose, and it should hook to the fuel pump fitting. Unless someone installed an automotive fuel pump. aka explosion hazard.

My father is an auto mechanic and he said it had to go back to the fuel pump. I guess I will go to Napa and get a marine one and clear tube. Thanks

In the mean time is there any quick fix until I can get a new pump. They are ridiculously expensive and I want to get it online. The problem is I plan on using the boat the next three days.
