150 yamaha 2004 Anyone have any info on how to set air mixture screws on carburetors? Runs good on low idle when I get up to 3 g's it cuts out. Or could my high end jets be clogged. I did mess with air mixture screws.

Re: Air mixture screws

The air mixture screws only affect low-speed (idle) operation. You could have clogged main/pilot jets, fuel restriction/starvation, or even an ignition problem that makes it cut out at high rpm. Suggest you get a manual and follow the troubleshooting proceures to start zeroing in on the problem.

Thanks for info boat did sit-up for 6 months and did have seafoam and fuel. I replace fuel and water separator I guess I will pull carbs and clean them. Thanks for rubber gaskets.

Not a bad idea to drain each carb float chamber for extended lay-ups....usually a hex head drain screw on bottom/side of each carb....it's very good preventive maintenance....
