Got a 1966 Johnson 60hp 2 stroke 4 cylinder (magneto ignition) hooked up to an Airguide 664 A tach. The tach had been working great and after a tune up it?s now pegged at 7K all the time. I have checked all connections and can?t find anything out of place. Does anyone know how to test the sending unit? Or can someone make a recommendation on a cheap unit to testing purposes? One last thought, could I be overlooking something, would the condenser/points affect the tack?
