alarm 2004 60hp efi 4stroke

the alarm is sounding at 3000rpm (continious beep) .i go back to neutral and alarm stops and good to go but not over 3000rpm or alarm sounds again.motor has good telltale stream and temp gauge is on 145f so my question is ,is it a overheat alarm or some thing else ,impellor changed 30hours ago thermo changed same time as well but problem only started yesterday so what should i be looking for thanks in advance dunc333

A continuous beep is one or more of the following: Engine overheat, Low oil pressure, Battery voltage below 10V or above 16V, Coolant Sensor failure or Engine speed limiter. My initial thought is either over heat or sensor failure.

hi alldodge and any body else that can help oil level checked and good temp sensor checked and good ,so im leaning towards watertube grommt closed up,my question is has any body tried to put a dio camera up water tube before. noteing on this engine it has a s bend in water tube or is there any other way to check it and i want to run a psi test on water flow where is the best place to plug gauge in (next to thermo)? thanks again dunc333
