Hello, I am having a consistent alarm only during idle and I am hoping someone can help direct me to the cause. Diacom file link Volvo EGC CAN ETC 11 04 2023. Engine #3869411 S#A136233. During idle I get a momentary "Hard Warning Output" that repeats about every 60sec, that activates the MIL to ON and then 4 codes are recorded. If engine RPM is increased above 1000 the MIL turns OFF and the "Hard Warning Output" stops occurring. Return to idle and it starts again. I think it is a voltage issue but not sure where to start looking.
Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome
Battery volts is low, showing 12V and 13.75V

Measure at starter post while running, should see 14.5V

Shut motor OFF and let set for a couple hours then test Bat it should be close to 12.6V

Thank you alldoge. I will take a look at running voltage starting at the alternator and track it back the batteries. Question though, what do you mean by ”starter post”?

The Bat cable is connected to the starter at it's post

The ALT should provide same as starter, but if there is corrosion then it may not. The motor gets everything from the post and then spreads out.

Update: I checked and confirmed the original BEP VSR was not working. Replaced it with a Blue Seas ACR. Charging of both batteries is now working. I also installed the optional LED so I could easily check the ACR function but for some reason the LED is not working. I did re-check the wiring to make sure it was correct so not what is going on there.
The alarm has stopped now that the batteries are fully charged, at least while running the engine with boat on the trailer. Taking it out on the lake today for the final test.

Need a 12/24V LED, which LED did you get?
Also being a LED means it has to be wired correctly. The anode goes to Bat+ side and cathode goes to ACR

I purchased the LED from blue seas and it is the 12/24V LED. I think you identified my problem with the wrong wire connected to the bat+ on the ACR. Again, I appreciate your help and input.

I just checked the wiring instructions from blue seas again, they don’t mention anything about the Wiring Direction for the LED. Another example of poorly written directions, especially for those not familiar with LED’s.
