Alarm going off

I have a 2002 trophy 22ft with a mercury 200 EFI I have an alarm that beeps 4 times stops for about 2 to 3 min then sounds again.<br />I did have it out for the first time when this was happening & had no performace issues while this was happening.It was not overheating.

There are only two alarms...constant "beep" means overheating. Intermittent "beep" means oil reservoir on engine is too low. Remedy, after first checking oil level in master reservoir, is to unscrew cap on oil resv on engine and run motor at 1500 rpms until resv fills. Check for loose caps at main tank, leaking hoses, etc. if motor resv doesn't fill. I always carry a quart of oil to get me home just in case!

oil might have jelled in reservoir, empty , clean ,make sure screen is clean, install new oil. good luck ron
