Alarm not turning off (before starting) !!!

Hi folks. Ok, so I took my boat out this past weekend and it ran like a top! 95' Bayliner Capri Bowrider, Mercruiser A 1, Gen II, 5.0/V8. Problem is... the alarm never turned off (prior to starting). According to my owner's manual, it should sound anywhere from 7-15 seconds, then turn off. Didn't do this. I rechecked all fluid levels and all gauges were functioning properly (with correct levels).

I don't yet have the service manual (it's in the mail)... and I have a generic SELOC manual.

Also, it appers that all of my other electrical accessories work correctly (bilge pump, blower, horn, lights, etc)...

.... any ideas?
