Alarm warning system stopped working

Hi, I have a 1984 150VRO Johnson, with OMC controls that appear to be about the same age as the engine, the boat was repowered with this motor, when i do not know, however the boat is a 79 Aquasport, so could be original controls, I really dont know, anyway the other day the alarm warning system stopped working, I really have no idea where to start with this,,,thanks for any help..

I would start by checking the horn itself and see if you have power to it, and then ground the temp sensor at the engine to see if it beeps. You will need to have the key on to check it.
