alarm wiring. does the oil and temp share the same module

hi to all, i just installed a kit to switch to premix gas due to the gear on the crank, all is well with that part of it but i cant get the oil alarm to stop. i tryed to just undue the wires from whare the oil pump used to be. is the alarm module that the wires run to controll over heating as well or is there a diff. for temp. i dont want to just start un dueing wires and stop the temp alarm from working. thanks 1996 mercury 150 off shore v6
