Hi,
I'm getting 2 different alarms on my outboard:

First is a intermittent alarm occurs anytime (idle and up) and seems to be beep faster or slower depending on speed (faster the speed faster beep, when lower, slower beep).

Second is a constant alarm that occurs only at or above 4,000 rpm (5,000 rpm max on this engine)

These are the things that have been done:

-New Vro pump and new pulse fitting.
-completely cleaned out external oil reservoir tank and cleaned the screen. And added new/clean oil.
-replaced oil line to engine
-gas lines where replaced around 5 years ago
-new fuel filter
-new thermostats
-water pump was replaced 2.5-3 years ago. has very good stream.
-gas tanks where replaced 5 years ago.
-new bulbs for fuel and oil.

The alarm at higher RPM is the fuel restriction warning. Will pumping the primer bulb cause it to stop? No air leaks in any fuel lines?

I would probably start by ensuring that the vent on the fuel tank is open and free of debris. Also inspect the anti syphon valve, they are known for sticking in a semi closed position.

Thanks for the reply,
I'll try pumping the fuel bulb.
Where can I find the anti syphon valve?

The valve is right at the built in tank where the fitting attaches to the rubber fuel line. It is made of aluminum and is a couple inches long. Take it off, remove the ball, seat and spring from inside of it the reinistall and see if it cures your problem.

HighTrim,
I'll try these out.

Is there also a throttle position sensor on my engine (and could this be a problem). I have a manual that mentioned it but couldn't find more info on it.
