About 15 years ago I went to Alaska and the place we stayed in Juno grilled us some salmon. He made a dipping sauce with butter and dried mustard and other stuff. Killer what ever was in it. Just wondering if any- body has a similar recipe. I would like to try it on crappie and pond raised catfish or some redfish but for the life of me I cant find anything close to what I had up there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HEY Bobby-
Did the sauce happen to have dill in it and miracle whip/mayo??

(and yes there are, two different tastes between mayo and miracle whip, but same texture)

Bring it on Bubba I know somebody that knows somebody who has a place. If not, you can stay in the camper. Spring Break is March 13-19 I'll pick you in Memphis or Jackson.

And some Sauce.... Just noticed I've been on here longer than most and don't have but 247 post. Just trying to improve my standing. Guess I'm just a quiet person. Sure JB or another mod will cut me off for post padding.

This is a good one I use.

200 ml. mayonnaise
1 small onion finely chopped
30 ml. mustard powder
30 ml. fresh parsley chopped/minced
1/4 tsp. thyme

Mix all ingredients, spread on fish, cook in oven or on BBQ.

Re: Alaskan Chef's

You can use a plank on the BBQ....

OH YEA, best to get a fresh chunk of cedar (round) split it like your making shakes, soak it for a couple of hours throw it on the hot side drop MR salmon on, cook till its smelling MMMMM (grey pink, ?C ) and your off to the races
