Of course not. The media wants us to think that things are as bad as can be.

NOSLEEP,
Is that the crude they pull from the sand?? I saw a show on Discovery or TLC, that featured an operation in Canada where they separated crude from sand. Don't recall the exact numbers but they stated those reserves contained more trapped oil than the Middle East. Cost was a factor in reclaiming the crude, as the reclamation cost was something over $70.00 per barrel (may have been as high as $90.00). They ended the program stating as crude prices increases their crude would be comparable in price to conventionally obtained oil.

If Boone Pickens says it's real, I believe him. I almost went to work for him about 6 years ago. Decided to stick with what I am doing. May turn out to be the biggest mistake of my life. I would have been the third employee of his California natural gas vehicle fueling biz here in L.A. The number 1 guy just traded his 40 footer in on a 60 footer . . . :(

The program stated there were two companies currently extracting oil from the sand. Each vying to out produce each other. I'll see if I can locate some information on it and post it.

Somehow, the "greenies" will find a way to stop this production as it will "disturb" some animal or cause global warming or all of that BS. Meanwhile we will continue to fund terrorist countries and be held hostage by their crap. Sorry to be negative, but North America is sitting on so much energy, but for some reason we are never allowed to harvest it. I think it's time for real people to take back our future and tell the "greenies" to take a leap.

The only problem is that the oil will be expensive to extract and it probably isnt as good of quality. It will become cheaper as new technologies come online.

Its not that mid east oil reserves are that great, its the fact that they come out of the ground so easily and cheaply.

I am not worried about running out of oil, I am just worried about running out of CHEAP oil.

BTW, Nigerian crude is the best in the world.

Ken
