I have been working on this alignment all day. I have the typical signs of a bad alignment the OD slides in about and inch to the coupler and stops.

Here is the wierd part. This boat was originally an omc or volvo drive repowered to bravo. When the did so the stringers were not re done and so there are two 3inch spacers under the mounts. And it still seems like the front is still not tall enough. Is this a common problem when going from an omc cobra drive to mercruiser?

Re: Alignment problem.

Do you have an alignment tool? If the engine was originally a V-8 the stringer height would be about the same if it was a Volvo. The transom cut out should be in the same place also. Do you have adjustment left on your engine mounts now???

"Reel Justice"
Trophy 2059
Bravo 1 Drive
Mercruiser 5.7 250hp

And not a mention of year.

Is it a 1970 or a 2011 or ??????? Things change over time ya know.

If the transom had to be recut for the hole, who knows what your problems could be.
