Is it mandatory to use a "Factory Mercury tool" when checking the alignment on my Alpha one Gen 11 outdrive. Its a 2001 3.0 liter 4cyl mercruiser.<br />The owners manual says to use only a factory tool.<br />Any input would be greatly appreciated before I spend a lot of un necessary cash.<br /><br />Thanks to all.
