All Fluids for 1992 Mercruiser 3.0L Alpha Sterndrive

Hi all, I want to ask a question that will probably make you think "what is this guy trying to do" but you have to learn sometime.
I really want to try staring the engine for the first time but I am not sure what fluids I need to check on the out drive prior to starting. I know there is an oil level cap on top of the upper unit but I see grease points also.
Also, what types of oil and grease am I suppose to use.

any help would be great.
Outdrive serial number is OD665768.

I realize it was a very basic question but this is my first boat and I could not find it in the manual that I bought. I will give a good look through and hopefully find my answers.

What's in the owners manuals is not what you are going to find in a repair manual. If you bought a seloc or clymers manual, well you have kindling for your camp fires.

Well you guessed it. I bought a Seloc. I did save the box and will be sending back tomorrow. I have heard no good things about it. Is there a manual that you would recommend a beginner buy?

I will give you links to the OEM service manuals you can download. But trust me, they were put on the market for trained Mercruser techs. They are not DIY manuals. So if that is what you are looking for, they don't exist.
If you want to learn something, spend some time exploring the stickies at the top of this forum, you will learn more there than trying to read a service manual.

Don, these links were exactly what I wanted. Looks and reads very much like a Navy Technical Manual which I am very accustom too. I have been looking and reading all day. So much for a good day at work. At least I was learning something.
