Walking next to the dock on the seawall today I head the high pitch sound of a Mercury trim motor, singing away. I saw 5 or 6 boats tied to the dock and only the Mako had it.s engine down.

The rain from yesterdays cat and dog show shorted out the dash mounted trim button.

Of course, I started at the engine, unplugged the cowl mounted swith...still runs, go up the the shop, grab a wrench to disconnect the battery. As I had the wrench on the negative terminal, I thought, try the dash switch numby...I did it stopped.

Pumps were running and running on all 150 some odd boats, only one tried to sink,

There are roads washed out (well many here are still gravel) and flash flooding. One area reported to get 4" in 20 minutes!!

I feel bad for the bikers at Loudon all week in this garbage.

Certainly not been a good boating season so far around here either. North winds, low temperatures and rain.

I wonder if I should have started building an Ark! :D
The rain has been relentless around these parts
The Deleware river is almost at flood stage in the nearby town of Port Jervis!

Same here, been raining like I've never seen it this spring & summer. Last Wednesday it came down in wave after wave of pouring rain in between periods where it would let up for like 20 minutes. Friday we got hammered with a series of thunderstorms that dumped a ton more water and a lot of boomers that set car alarms off in the neighborhood. Lost power for 12 hours.

On the good side, the Great Lakes levels, which were down to historic lows, have rebounded somewhat.

Even tho where I live we are surrounded by water we never worry about flooding. We have had heavy rain and drizzle for a week, the only good day being this past Saturday. Thursday and Friday according to the weather man we are going to get some of tashdaddy's warm weather temps are suppose to be in the 80's.

I attempted to go camping this past weekend. That was fun. Saturday morning we woke up to a torrential downpour and a leaking tent. We ended up throwing everything in the truck and heading home. Good thing we did because that was just the first of many storms that day.
