just carpeted my boat this past weekend and while i was away a freak rain came down and some rain got through my cover on the front deck. should i redo the whole front deck now that the carpet and glue are wet or will letting it sit in the sun to dry out do the trick.

thanks for all input; dpond855

Re: all wet

While I am no expert, the only way our boat carpet was completely ruined was when someone left the plug in and some heavy rains came and stayed in the boat.

I think if it was just one freak occurance, drying in the sun should be ok provided it doesn't happen again. Again, not an expert here, but just my 2 Cents worth.

Depends on the adhesive and if it was dry. Boat carpet is made to withstand being wet. You should be okay.

I agree. Let it dry out. If anything happened, you'll be able to pull the carpet up because it ruined the adhesive before it set. Beyond that, the boat should be able to handle some rain, we sometimes get stuck out on the lake when a rainstorm hits..it is a boat after all...:D
