Almost had a major disaster

we dodged a bullet tonight. my brother and I have been working on our 84 Cimmaron for the past few weeks fixing a list of different things. trying to get it ready to take out of town on friday. we had to drain the gas tank a couple of days ago due to water in the tank. so we filled the boat up took it to the river to test our repairs and at the ramp we open the engine lid to find a lot of fuel in the bilge. first thoughts were holly sh--- we are going to have to tear out the floor and try to seal the tank. the good news is that we just had to take out the back seat and found that the the seal around the sending unit for the fuel gage was gone. a litle bit of sealer tonight, put the seats back in tommorow, and to the lake on friday. finaly back on the water

Glad it was an easy fix. I had to remove my center console and replace a 55 gallon tank earlier this year.​
