Almost ready for the engine on Sunday! I'm waiting on a few small items, one being the transom shift cable. Just test fitting everything in this picture, a few items aren't mounted yet.

That $!@#!@"% engine better line up!!

With the quality of work I saw on your website, I cannot stretch my imagination far enough to believe the engine will be a problem for you. Great work. Good luck!

Damn, that's looking like a brand new boat. Your engine just has to line up after all of the effort you've put forth. Here's to hoping Murphy stays away while you are putting the engine back in.

Cheers,
Nick

Re: Almost ready!

We need more pictures of yours, Nick!

It's amazing what you forget over a winter. I'm glad I had everything labeled. It took me an hour to determine what one of the wires I found went to; turned out it was the ground. I had to check the manual and test it to death to figure it out. Label had fallen off

Next I have to see if it's possible to pop the manifold for the trim lines out of the gimbal housing after I take the pivot housing off to replace the shift cable. I think it is. I forgot to hook the trim lines up and assembled the transom plate and gimbal housing and torqued it all down. I'd rather not loosen it just to attach the trim lines.

I'm also considering pushing my date out one more week and taking the time to rebuild the trim rams. They both leak down when it's hot out.

When does it stop? That's what I want to know!
