Does anyone know which engines the 1:84 gear ratio mercruiser outdrive will fit?

Ayuh,... It's been run with 470s, I-6s, 'n V-6s...

So would you say that it would fit 3.7L four cyl of all HP ratings, and 4.3L V6's of all HP ratings from 198?-1990-ish. I don't know what the straight six engine is that you are referring to.

NAh... The 165 (straight six) ran a 1.65:1 drive ratio... As do the later V6s...

Okay, so just 3.7's (470) and 1980's 4.3 V6 then?

It will "fit" any of them but may not be the right ratio.

Because I have one and I intend to sell it after I get it fixed up. Need to know who I can sell it to, since most folks don't have a clue what ratio they have or need.

It will "fit" any of them but may not be the right ratio.

You know what I mean.
