I have an Alpha 1 Gen 1 drive and I am pretty sure the water drain is plugged. I have been working a wire in it and a bunch of sand has been coming out but it still seems plugged. I am guessing that the passage goes up from the drain hole. I get in a little ways and then it stops. Some water comes out, but it is just a slow drip. Is there any way to clean this out without having to remove the lower? Can I use compressed air and blow it in or would that cause an issue? Any thoughts would be great. Thanks.

Even with the halves separated it can be a task to clean out that passage way. I've rigged a shop vac with small hose to get down deep in there..... degreaser, water, air, wire, and keep working it. There could be 3"or 4" of solid crud in there to clean out, no way a wire alone will get it done.

I wouldn't let it bother me this time in the year.
