I have 95 Bayliner I/O I replaced the water pump impeller. It came with 4 Gaskets one metal plate 2 seals I put two at bottom one on top of metal plate and the other at the edges of metal housing. I slapped back the drive with no problem. Now when i put the muffs on I see water leaks from the JOINT where upper and lower unit meet. Is this normal?? The manual show one gasket at bottom one on top of metal plate and one at metal housing. Please Please I need your help. Should I put any seal at the edges of lower unit to avoid water leak?? Your help is GREATLY APPRCIATED.
<br /><br />You should see water exiting the prop hub and out of a relief on the transom mount. Water leaking from areas around the case isn't unusual, especially if the lower has never been off before. Paint was sealing those areas before. All of that is excess water. The important stuff is coming out the prop.
