Am having trouble removing the lower hose on the port side of my engine. (Two hoses on port side at thermostat housing-lower hose tough to take loose) My plan is to leave it-remove thermostat housing and pour antifreeze into block and into other hoses until I hear it running out.
Do you think this will be OK?

No ! I'd far rather you drain the block and manifold first. Then the water is out. There are drain plugs on the engine for this.

Now add antifreeze.

DHP

Do you know for sure the antifreeze will go to every place in the engine and drive? Or will it take the easist path and not protect everything?

Channel locks will remove that hose....If it likes it or not...Stay off the fitting....Hoses are relatively cheap....JK
