Does anybody have a link to instructions for replacing the trim limit switch on an alpha 1? I traced my inoperative trim up to the wires being cut in the gimbel area. The switch still looks serviceable but I need to pull the limit switch wires outside to get more length. What is securing them and how do I loosen them up to pull them through the transom plate?

You cant splice them the current leaking will have a galvinac field day :(

Do you have a GEN I or GEN II ? both require takeing the bellhouseing OFF to get to the wire grommet :(

Re: Alpha 1 trim limit switch replacement

Thanks for the help! It is a gen 1 alpha. I think I will use a jumper wire in the trim switch harness until boating season ends. Is the exhaust bellows necessary when running through transom exhausts? I'll probably replace the u-joint bellows while I'm in there but I can't see replacing the exhaust hose if it's not necessary.
