I have the prestolite high volume low pressure pump. It has the manual release valve on the bottom and 2 lines.
1) What is the real part number for this and what part number for the cap and brushes?
2) If I buy an oildyne unit, will it plug and play or will it need to be adapted?
3) Different topic but have an old #1 drive for a spare. The prop nut threads are course not fine. It has a roughly 1/4" spacer built into the shaft. Using the original bushing does not work with newer props. I bought the spacer and washer per the manual and it is still to long. The 1/4 inch spacer looks like it is part of the shaft. Is it or do I need a different adapter?

Thanks
Todd

Ayuh,... Yer trim pump is off an ole Outboard Merc....

'n yer old MC-1, is a Real Olddie,... that flange comes off to reveal a stepped propshaft, rather than tappered...
it has little to no value, as parts, 'n prop thrust hubs are pretty much Non-existent...

I modified the spacer to fit the new prop on. The gear box and lower unit worked great. The lowers have different splines into the upper so I have to change the outdrive between the 2. I have the longer shaft on the #1 for now while I go through the alpka and reseal it. I converted the transom to the newer alpha 1 hookup with a 140. The 140 is out right now and the old 120 is in it. The 140 sounded like a bottom knock developed and wanted to check it out. (Sofar I see nothing wrong and the babbit looks like new.) The original transom used the older high pressure low volume pump. The alpha 1 had the same looking type pump with the exception of the reverse valve. I need new brushes for it but not sure in the endcaps are the same.
If I buy something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercruiser-..._Accessories_Gear&hash=item35bcce4d3e&vxp=mtr
will it direct fit or need to be adapted?

Mercruiser did use that pump and it is covered in the service manual. Manual release valve and all. Look at section 5C of manual #6.

You can get a new motor and pump housing from Arco.http://www.arcomarine.com/

Thanks Don. I have the manual and have already looked at that. It does not have the part numbers. Any part # that I find crosses to the old style prestolite or the new oildyne. All I need is the cap. Does anyone know if the caps are the same?
