alpha 1 water pump

I think my raw water pump is busted.(The PO never told me.)I disconnected the hose coming from the out drive and started the motor(Mercruiser 170) on muffs for a few seconds-no water flow.Poured some water in the hose and it escaped through the water inlets on the drive right away.Am I right?And my second question is what replacement kit should I order and from where?tThe serial# of the drive is A470381 Iwas told it is 86 model is that correct?

Your local Mercruiser dealer would be one possibility for parts. Short of buying from the US, I have no idea what Bulgaria offers for marine stores.

Thank you for the link Don!There is no real servicing and parts shops around ,so that I will have to order from US.Iboats sell Sierra kits ,that is why I needed to know if the drive is real standard Alpha.
