Alpha gen II has steering play

My brothers Gen II has a ton of slop in the steering. Is the Access plug kit 22-88847A-1 the go-to for servicing this kind of problem?

only if the slop is in the steering arm and pin area. will not help steering pin to steering yoke

Ayuh,..... It depends on Exactly where that slop is,......

1 person at the wheel, another holdin' the drive, 'n a third, who hopefully knows what they're lookin' at, to Look, as the 1st 2 take turns, holdin' or shakin' what's in their hands,.....

OK ,we will do a very thorough slop inspection with sunblock and maybe beer tomorrow!
So there's a chance it's not in the pivot. We'd be really happy if it was inside the boat, but the way he describes it sounds like the arm is loose at the top of the gimbal ring.
