I have:<br /><br />MERCRUISER (ALPHA 1.47 DRIVE) <br />Serial Number: 0L705485 Model Number: 5121200LS <br /><br />Need to do the impeller and wanted to see if there are any recommended kits. Also, any pearls or pitfalls and how long does the job usually take? Reason I'm doing the impeller is three-fold. One, when on ears the engine overheats. Two, Normal operating temp at idle in the water is 170. A search on the forums yields the temp should be a bit lower suggesting a bad impeller. Third, and most important, I don't know if it has ever been done. This reason is usually the catalyst for most of my maintenance projects on our boat...you know the old addage; an ounce of prevention... <br /><br />I looked up the drive on Merc Parts Express and there was nothing shown for the impeller so I'll be doing an internet search for any suggestions I'm given here.
