alpha lower unit question

While replacing my impeller with a kit I noticed the kits water tube was shorter then the original.Also how does the gear oil travel from upper to lower.

Make sure you got the right kit.There is a small hole in the upper and lower that mate up with a crush oring when the 2 are assembled.Look near the pump housing side and you will find the oil passage.

never had a kit with the "water tube" in it?

I've seen Somebodies Kits that have that little short piece of Plastic Tube that connects the Copper Pipe at the Impeller Housing......
