hi, im looking to buy an alignment tool for my alpha one, i found one on e bay with a part #91-805475 A1 would this tool work on the alpha one? I FOUND THIS #ON THE OUTDRIVE 6758232 i dont know if this will help. i got a set of bell housing gasket with the # 27-94996T2.......thanks

They're All about the Same,..........<br /><br />The Older 1s might need to be cut down a little to match the Latest copies,.......<br /><br />Over at the Mercstuff website there's a drawing with the differences listed,.........<br /><br />A Late-Model Alignment Tool,.. Will work for All the outdrives,......<br />An Eary-Model Tool won't Fit into a late-model drive,.........<br /><br />But,..... I've yet to find an Early Model Alignment Tool,....... Ever......

I have found a wood dowel rod works almost as good

LOL at f_inscreenname's response. When I had my alpha drive off I went thru the shed till I found a broom handle that was a nice very tight fit. I was proud. Frequently have done the same on clutch's.. I claim to have a micrometer eye....<br /><br />Bob in CO
